Seriously, we watched this video in the Law class today. When the law is not always as clear, how do we make a decision? Law is ultimately created in search of equity, and both of the monkeys were given snacks for their work. Why one shows their discomfort yet the other is totally okay with the outcome while the principle of the experiment is to give them a reward for their work?
Most people are both utilitarian and deontological at the same time. After all, it's the degree of your ethical virtue that controls your decision. When people say, "be kind to others," it must mean more than that I guess...
